Welcome to What If You Wrote podcast – the place where your writing inspiration lives.
I’ve been writing my blog Protagonist Crafts since 2020 but I wanted a new space where I could take an idea, say “wouldn’t it be cool if…” and take it from there. I wanted to help my blog readers and email subscribers see all the possibilities that writing fiction gives them.
That said, due to popular demand, we do have a few “writing tips and tricks” episodes, but I did want the podcast to be different from the blog, not just a narrated version of it.
Be warned: This podcast can be a little silly. If you’re in the mood for sombre analysis of prose techniques, you’re better off listening to someone else. (I’ll miss you, though. Let’s try again in another life.)

That’s me, I’m Katri. You can pronounce it like “cat tree” if you want, I don’t mind.
I’ve been writing stories ever since I learned to write and some time in 2018 I became obsessed with learning everything there was to learn about writing well. I still have about 200 years worth of learning left, but I decided to take you along for the ride anyway because it’s just more fun that way.
I live in Finland with my children and cats, and when I’m not doing all this, you can find me doing volunteer work, crocheting something or playing Skyrim again. Don’t ask me about my library late fees.
